Matthew J. Mazurek

Graduated University of Alberta 2006 (B.A.) and 2011 (LL.B.)

Admitted to British Columbia Bar September 10, 2012

Matt articled in Edmonton, Alberta, before deciding to move to Smithers to practice with Perry & Company in 2012. Matt has worked in most other areas of law but he has a growing personal injury and civil litigation practice. He is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and has managed to spend a disproportionate amount of his career arguing in courtrooms.

Matt has become active in our community since his arrival. He sits on the board of directors for the Bulkley Backcountry Ski Society as the Ashman Ridge Director and liaison with the Federation of Mountain Clubs of British Columbia. He spends spring, summer and early fall as the secretary for the Northern Roots Community Garden and digging in the dirt at the garden. He also helps coach the Smithers Secondary School cross-country running teams and coordinates volunteers for the Hah Nic Na’ Aah Mountain Marathon.  When the opportunity presents itself you can find Matt on the trails running or riding or on the slopes searching for fresh powder.  You might also find him at home elbow-deep in hops and malt while homebrewing.
